Charice shines at Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York

International young diva Charice once again made her country proud as she performed for Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City on Thursday, November 27.

Before her performance, Charice, on top of the "Good Housekeeping" float, was introduced by NBC's host as "The Internet Phenom from the Philippines."

The NBC had exclusive broadcast rights for the parade.

Charice, meanwhile, wowed the crowed as she sang "Because You Love Me", as proof of her admiration for her music idol, international performer Celine Dion.

Aside from Charice, international singers James Taylor, Miley Cyrus and Rick Astley also performed.

In a previous interview, Charice and her mom Racquel Pempengco told abs-cbnNEWS.com in a pre-departure interview that she will meet "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus and American Idol runner-up David Archuleta while in the US.

She said she is excited to be introduced to the young American actress-singer, whom she described as one of her inspirations.

"Gusto kong makita si Miley Cyrus kasi hinahangaan siya ng mga kabataan sa States," Charice said.

Charice is currently in the US to promote the latest album of her handler, David Foster.

Charice has a track in Foster's album, "Hitman: David Foster & Friends," along with music icons Kenny G., Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, Katharine McPhee, Andrea Bocelli and Dion.

Charice's performance in the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York followed her highly-acclaimed day on the popular "Good Morning America" show.
